Getting to Know SAI's PRESIDENT

Greetings My SAI Extended Family,

As the Founder and CEO of SOLID Academy Inc., I feel compelled to provide you a glimpse into my background and the unique perspective I bring to the table for the cherished leaders and members of SAI. Having grown up in underprivileged communities throughout Atlanta, I have personally experienced the struggles and obstacles that accompany such circumstances. My education in Atlanta Public Schools, as well as Clayton and Dekalb County Schools, has exposed me to the richness of diversity and fueled my determination to achieve greatness despite all the challenges I had encountered.

I possess firsthand experience of growing up underprivileged in the trenches of Atlanta, GA which has provided me a unique advantage over many leaders. There are those who have predominantly learned about poverty from textbooks or hearing about it from others' testimonies.  Then, there is me, someone who had a burning desire to overcome poverty... and DID.

My ability to connect with and guide modern youths is a natural extension of this background and this is what sets me apart from countless other youth leaders. Therefore, I undoubtedly believe that I along with my
SAI colleagues and stakeholders, am credible to effectively lead your child(ren).

I have relentlessly guided and supported youths from diverse backgrounds, imparting knowledge on various subjects. From tackling challenging math problems to crafting compelling school reports, preparing simple nutritious meals, opening a bank account, or whatever the case may be, I am dedicated to providing solutions. And, whenever challenges arise that I am unable to directly resolve, our (SAI) wide-ranging network is readily available to offer solutions to ensure our members holistic growth and development.

I will share with you one of my most memorable events thus far. It was in May of 2021. Accompanied by a group of Atlanta natives from ages 7-18 (predominantly rising high-school seniors), I had organized an exhilarating trip to Miami Beach. The purpose was to reward them for their hard work and effort, their diligence, their ability to maintain a concrete bond, and to reward them for all getting promoted. These, now high school graduates are part of SAI’s alumni, and I am deeply moved by the positive influence I have on each and every one of them as I witness them strive even harder for personal excellence during their young adult era.

As an affiliate of multiple GA public school systems, many days, I directly engage in the transforming of young minds and find myself in awe at those who are empathetic, ambitious, self-aware, and confident. They inspire me to remain confident and committed to their safety and success and to fostering an environment where they can maximize their potential. It truly is a privilege to have a substantial role in shaping our future leaders and I am beyond honored to have the privilege to direct such remarkable and impressionable individuals.

HOW WAS IT ALL POSSIBLE?

The question of how it was all possible can be answered quite simply: it was through the Grace of God. The journey I had embarked on was far from an easy one, but with faith and determination, I was able to overcome the challenges which had arisen. .

Ultimately, I learned that belief in oneself is the key to achieving greatness, it is this knowledge that I strive to instill in the minds of both current and prospective youths being served at SAI. So again, I as well as my SAI co-leaders, am excited to grow within the community and tether bright minds with local residents to make your child unstoppably SOLID.

With Honor and Love,

Tamasha Murphy, CEO
